And I can already say that the sunset was absolutely beautiful. The views, music and overall atmosphere made it a very special evening. The absolute highlight of 180 Sunset Bar Mykonos is the view. Thanks to its elevated location, you get an incredible panoramic view over Mykonos and the Aegean Sea. We were lucky with the weather and had the perfect sunset that evening. Watching the sun slowly disappear while the sky changed colours was simply beautiful. It’s easy to understand why 180 Sunset has become such a popular place to watch the sunset in Mykonos. For me, the view alone made the experience worth it.

I was really happy that we had made a reservation in advance. If you’re planning to visit 180 Sunset Bar Mykonos for sunset, I would definitely recommend booking ahead. We had our reservation at 6.30 pm, and arriving a little earlier turned out to be a great decision. When we arrived, the bar was still relatively quiet, which gave us some time to enjoy the views and take a few photos without disturbing other guests. As sunset approached, the bar slowly started filling up, but it never felt overly crowded to us.

The food was really good. Everything we ordered tasted great, and we were very happy with the quality. However, there was one downside: the portions were quite small. We actually ordered food twice and still didn’t really feel full afterwards. If you arrive very hungry and want to have a proper dinner here, you’ll probably need to order several dishes. And that can get expensive quite quickly. The prices are already high, so if you need to order several dishes to feel full, you can easily end up spending quite a lot. Personally, I would see 180 Sunset Bar more as a sunset experience with drinks and good food rather than somewhere I would choose specifically for a big, filling dinner. The food was delicious, but I would keep the portion sizes and prices in mind.
Music & Atmosphere After Sunset
I also really enjoyed how the atmosphere changed throughout the evening. At first, everything revolves around the sunset. People are having drinks, enjoying the views and waiting for the sun to disappear over the Aegean Sea. Later in the evening, the music becomes more prominent and the whole place develops more of a lounge and DJ vibe. I really liked the music and thought it suited the location perfectly. The combination of the views, lighting, music and atmosphere made us want to stay even after sunset. So, don’t rush off as soon as the sun disappears. I think it’s worth staying a little longer and enjoying the atmosphere later in the evening.

Between the minimum spend, drinks, food and relatively small portions, you can easily spend quite a lot during an evening here. But you’re also paying for the overall experience. The panoramic views were incredible, our sunset was perfect and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and music later in the evening. I’m glad we visited and especially glad that we reserved our seats in advance. If you’re planning a trip to Mykonos and are looking for a special place to watch the sunset, 180 Sunset Bar Mykonos is definitely worth considering. Just make sure you reserve ahead, choose your seating area carefully and be prepared to spend a little more.
